CHICAGO, IL - Today, the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners met to officially declare and proclaim the results of the November 8, 2022 General Election.

The City of Chicago saw 714,798 ballots cast for a 46.39% citywide turnout for 1,540,821 registered voters.
- 364,253 ballots were cast In Precinct on Election Day
- 20,721 ballots were cast at Vote Centers on Election Day
- 158,812 ballots were cast by Early Voting
- 171,012 ballots were cast by Vote By Mail
- 22.22% of people Early Voted
- 23.92% of people Voted By Mail
- 53.86% of people voted on Election Day
This was more than double the voter turnout for the June 28th Primary Election, which saw 341,901 ballots cast for a 22.81% citywide turnout for 1,498,813 registered voters.
In the 2018 Midterm Election, there were 912,061 ballots cast for a 60.67% citywide turnout for 1,503,353 registered voters.
Additionally, more Chicagoans voted in this last election than in the 2014, 2010, and 2006 Midterm Elections.
